Design
Lets get started on the Putting Field that we are asking  you to build. You will need 12 foot measuring tape or a yard stick. Some weights, rocks will do but they will look bad , balloon weights also work well. That is what I use. A 12 foot ribbon, Flat surface,  a rug with minimal contour or nap is good. A putter and clean (new) Golf balls
Now we are ready.
1) Take the ribbon and stretch it out  to full length.
2) Put the weights on each end.
3) Measure one foot from the weight to allow back swing and mark with a permanent  marker  “TEE” (do  not write on the rug)
4) Measure out two foot increments and mark each from the starting point until the tape is fully marked .

If you use a 12 foot tape and one foot on each end you should have marks of 2ft, 4ft, 6ft, 8ft and 10ft.Now place the ball on the edge of the tape and putt to the two foot marker. The goal is to keep the ball on the edge of the tape. You are training yourself to putt to a specific distance straight. Continue to practice until you are good at knowing the distance and are hitting the ball straight. When you get to the course. Take your ball markers and lay out three marks 3 feet apart in a row and get used to the speed on grass greens. This will allow you to now hit it straight, with correct speed and make that PAR you can brag about.
What should it look like?
If you would like we can build and send you a putting field. The cost will be $25 which is more than it is worth, but if you choose we can build it and send it. If you want us to do that send a $25 check with your name and address to: Ray Greenberg Family College Fund  PO BOX 5695 Dillon CO 80435 and we will donate that to Ray’s Children
Why don’t you succeed at Golf?
The reason most of the golfers “duffers” I know do not succeed ,”have fun”, at golf  is they take it too seriously. Many are captains of industry or at least they think they are. So they succeed on the business side and then try to do the same on the golf side. Many are ex-high school athletes with trophies and plaques and can’t imagine why the nerd from the chess team scores as well if not better at the country club. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
