Practice Process
Now that you have built your putter field we want you to practice. Place your ball on the edge of the tape and putt it to the end. Notice the distance from the edge of the tape the ball is. If your ball is further away from the tape than the size of a golf hole you missed.  Now we all know that a golf hole is bigger than a golf ball so you have some play. Learning  to hit it straight  will reduce the number of strokes immediately.
So now let’s start to correct the Putting Stroke.
TIPS
To hit the ball straight you must take the putter back straight and bring it straight forward. Like a pendulum. How do I do that with my belly in the way and club designed for a more circular swing? Practice. You have to spend time bringing it back and taking it through the ball straight. A Pro Champion once wrote a note in a golfing magazine that he putts two inches past the ball. I think this is a great idea. Try this it will help keep the club straight.
The second practice tip is distance control. Distance control takes practice because there is also the issue of speed. Begin by hitting the ball to stop just past the 2 ft line and progress up the tape. This will give you confidence about speed and distance. Soon you will be dropping those two and four foot putts. If you are putting well it  allows you to be more aggressive with the longer ones which gives you legitimate shots at pars and hopefully birdies. This process is something that you can do easily and it doesn’t cost money so get started. Tell us of your successes and ask us questions we shoot in the 90’s and are proud of being duffers.
GOLF Etiquette

Don’t you hate it when people you play with or are on the course do not know or do not follow the basic rules of golf etiquette. Well here are our rules. I hope you like them and follow them. If you don’t let us know where you play so we can avoid the course.
Don’t  talk when someone is hitting. It probably won’t bother them much but it could, so be nice.
Don’t give advise unless asked. You probably do not know enough unless you are a scratch golfer.
Don’t spend more than 3 minutes looking for your ball. Hit a provisional and look while your partners hit , and then move on.
The person closest to the pin should hit last but be smart and move play along.
If you are using a cart remember to stay near the cart paths and off the main fairway since tire tracks are tough to hit out of.
Do not spend too much time on each shot. Golf’s biggest issue is the time it takes to play. If you waggle 20 times and take three practice swings you slow play.
What to watch
If you play golf most likely you watch golf  on the course,  on TV or at tournaments here are some things to look for.

Watch the preparation before they strike the ball.  Remember you probably only have a few great swings in your bag. Take that one practice swing then strike the ball.
Watch how people you play with line up putts. They will plumb bob which I doubt they know what they are looking for and then say things like just one cup outside. Well most duffers should shoot to the right inside or left inside of the cup because  missing it one ball outside is a crime for a duffer.
Watch what pros do while the other guy is hitting. They are working on their shot. They are playing against themselves it just happens that someone else is playing with them. Concentrate  on your game not your partner’s.
Learn from your playing partners shots. Don’t assume just because it happened to him it won’t to you. Learn to play conservatively. If you are in trouble, don’t assume you will now hit a great shot. Get out of trouble then hit the great shot.
